  1. A circulatory system is a system of vessels
  2. in an animal's body that transports 
  3. essential substances (blood or other 
  4. circulatory fluid) to and from the different
  5. parts of the body. Except for simple animals 
  6. such as sponges and coelenterates
  7. (jellyfishes, sea anemones, corals), all 
  8. animals have a circulatory system.
  9. Although most animals have a heart or hearts
  10. to pump the blood, normal body movements
  11. circulate the fluid in some small 
  12. invertebrates.
